I am a British Mountain Guide fully accredited by the IFMGA (international federation of mountain guides associations). I am based in Chamonix, in the French Alps, where I spend my free time skiing and climbing between trips further away. I am also a qualified medical doctor. Having learnt to ski in Norway aged 7, a passion for the mountains has shaped most of my life and taken me all over the world. And with skiing as my introduction to the mountains, it was a natural progression to alpinism and ski-mountaineering.
